As of 21st December, all Drones in Ireland over 1KG in weight must be registered. This registry database will be accessed through an app/website developed by the Irish Aviation Authority and will be the first of its kind in Europe when launched.
It’s estimated there are approx 5000 drones in Ireland and many more to come the morning of 25th December. Hopefully Santa leaves a note linking to the IAA website for all the new owners.
